Dermatologist Near Long Branch FAQs

Q:    What is a Dermatologist?
A:   In Canada the name “dermatologist” is reserved for medical physician that specializes in skin.  Dermatologists are physician specialists that have completed a rigorous program including a Bachelor’s of Science, have earned a medical degree, and have completed an intensive five-year program of advanced medical and surgical training in the prevention, recognition, and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails.

Following residency, an individual must pass a series of medical examinations. After successful completion, a Specialist Certificate in Dermatology is awarded.

At Kingsway Dermatology, our team of Dermatologists have been awarded Certifications by both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada, and the American Board of Dermatology in the United States.

Q:    What does a Dermatologist do?
